About ScaleofPreference
From its inception back in 2022, ScaleofPreference.com has been a two-man band.
And those men would be me, Giuseppe, and fashion guru Leslie.
We are 2 best friends living in beautiful Canada; and though I am doing my masters in Psychology at King’s University College, and Leslie is a superb graphic designer, we have an unusual passion for fashion and trend.
We have been very actively following fashion and market trends for the past 17+ years, and I can honestly say that we’ve seen it all.

Too Many Choices? Check out our suggested product for you below:
Throughout this time, we have owned and tested dozens of “market winners”, from high-end watches to cheap infinity pencils claiming to be the best thing since Adam.
This website is simply our attempt at helping others avoid the hassle of lengthy research and costly trial and error.
Because we are staunch shopaholics, we often fell prey to influencers who promoted products just because they were paid to, and this always led to a very dissapointing experience for Leslie and I.
We, therefore, decided to start this website to share the best of the products we have personally tested (reason why we do not accept sponsored products.)
Fast forward to present time and ScaleofPreference.com has grown into a wonderful and helpful community of users from all over the world.
Review process
The dilemma in today’s market is clear: while many experts offer recommendations, not all are driven by the genuine quality of the products. This reality can lead to disappointment and mistrust among consumers.
It is because Leslie and I experienced this disspointment a million times over that we decided to create this platform.
But let’s admit it, we are just shopaholics like you, who are ddicted to buying and following the market trend, and because of that our past experiences or personal prefefence might affect our selection of which products are the best.
That’s why we’ve developed a foolproof method to sift through the noise, ensuring that the products we recommend are not only endorsed by experts but also cherished by consumers like you. Yep, you are included! Here is how we combine the experts recommendation, our personal testings and your opinion:
Step #1: “Expert Recommendation” Our journey to finding the valuable products (What Leslie & I call Market Winners) begins with consulting experts across various niches. We reach out to these experts through platforms like YouTube and Instagram.
(If you are one, please let us know — We know your worth 🙂 .
Our goal? To gather their top recommendations in a niche we are very familiar with (we do not talk about things we do not know about).
Step #2: “The Consumers’ Test” But expert recommendation is just the first step. At ScaleofPreference.com, we believe that the true test of a product’s worth lies in the hands of the very people who use it – you, the consumer.
This is where our “Approval Stage” comes into play. We dive deep into user reviews, analyzing feedback from individuals who have experienced the products firsthand. If a product garners overwhelmingly positive reviews, it earns our seal of approval (to earn this seal, usually above 90% of the users must have approved of it).
However, if dissatisfaction is a common theme, we won’t hesitate to remove it from our list (usually if above 20% of users are dissatisfied, then we discard it immediately). This rigorous process ensures that only the best, consumer-approved products make it to our recommendations. Check out our Complete Selection Process.
Are you sponsored by any brands?
As you can already tell from our story, sponsorship bias is what got us started in the first place. So our number #1 Rule is to Never Accept Sponsorships from brands.
We will never compromise ourselves or the trust of our readers by accepting free review units from manufacturers or any type of endorsement.
As a result, we buy all the products we suggest to you ourselves and always present the facts as truthful and unbiased as we possibly can.
How does the site earn money?
Quite a few readers of this website who know our mission have reached out and wanted to donate money as a way of showing their appreciation. We are humbled and grateful for this.
